## Background

Joe's first role in social media was a temporary position managing the University of Cambridge's main social media channels, where he learned how to engage large audiences and run institutional accounts. He then worked as a content marketer at a video production company, uncovering the stories of CEOs and founders. In 2019, Joe connected with Ali Abdaal over dinner and was brought on to manage Abdaal's LinkedIn presence. When the pandemic hit and Joe lost his full-time role, he pivoted to freelancing; his first clients were Ali Abdaal, Cliff Weitzman of Speechify, and Chris Williamson of the Modern Wisdom podcast. That freelance work became the foundation for Amplify. Today Joe is focused on scaling Amplify while building educational products, courses and tools that make personal brand building accessible to anyone with expertise worth sharing.
