Iโm making a big shift in how I work.
For years, Iโve told clients the same thing. But lately, I havenโt lived it as consistently as I should.
Starting now, Iโm going back to the single most important practice you can do every day:
Write.
The problem?
Writing online is a long-term game.
It feels like:
The truth?
Nothing is more important today than sharing how you think.
Clear writing = clear thinking
The more you write, the more you grapple with how you feel.
The more you share your thoughts, lived experience and ideas with the world, the more you're a magnet for the right opportunities.
The largest creators in the world, authors, speakers - pretty much everyone in the public eye - write every day.
It's the only way to stand-out.
And even if you want to build a brand team - it's still your main responsibility because your team need to work with your original thought.
This writing could be scripts for a YouTube video or expressed in a podcast, but the "raw material" has to come from you.
If you saw my email last week, I shared how we partnered with Greg Isenberg to do exactly this - growing his LinkedIn by 70,000 followers using the Content Waterfall System.
Greg is a professional writer.
I was at a Tony Robbins business event with Greg in 2023. We're in a conference centre with 3,000+ entrepreneurs and during a guest speaker's keynote he gets up and leaves.
I find Greg later on huddled around a table writing a Twitter thread. When inspiration strikes, it strikes, and the best content creators write every day to share their thoughts.
So now, I'm committing to writing every day for 2 hours.
Ideally, I want to write when I feel most creative (mornings or late at night) but I'm focusing first on building the habit.
When the day gets underway I usually find it very hard to prioritise writing - which makes sense as it's a form of creative expression that requires space.
But that's not a good enough excuse.
Whether it's a midday reset with some meditation music, going for a walk, or blocking out time to write as the first thing you do - it needs to happen.
Writing is now the most important part of your day.
It's non-negotiable.
Writing is so important I've dedicated a full module called Writing Online in Personal Brand Mastery. The cool thing is - your daily inputs can multiply to create weeks of content (I'll show you how).
Miss the teaser releasing the modules yesterday? Here it is again:
Answer this honestly - are you writing enough?
If you wanna join me in writing more reply to this email and we can do it together.
